The Democratic Union for Integration’s leadership has decided to name current Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi caretaker prime minister of the Republic of North Macedonia as of Jan. 28 until the spring elections.

According to DUI spokesperson and current Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani in a Facebook post, DUI’s central presidency meeting at the party’s Mala Rechica headquarters discussed their participation in the 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections.

Current Minister of Finance Fatmir Besimi will lead the party’s 2024 election campaign headquarters, Osmani wrote.

“The party leader Ahmeti was authorized to continue talks with political parties and decide on possible coalitions for the presidential and parliamentary elections,” Osmani added.
