The law on Asset Recovery Offices enters Parliamentary procedure, the Ministry of Justice informed on Sunday.
“With the new law, proposed by the Ministry of Justice, the Asset Recovery Offices (ARO) will have the authority to undertake activities for obtaining information and data for finding and identifying returns and other property or property benefits in the country or abroad in connection with a domestic citizen or resident in Macedonia, a person without citizenship or a foreigner, as well as for the purposes of the confiscation procedure without determining criminal responsibility regulated according to law, which arose or are related to the criminal acts covered by Article 6 of this law, according to the Ministry of Justice.
With its adoption and the functioning of the Asset Recovery Offices in accordance with international standards, they emphasize, significant activities will be undertaken to obtain information and data for finding and identifying returns and other property or property benefits in the country or abroad.
