Ljupcho Palevski-Palcho, the prime suspect in the murder of 14-year-old Vanja Gjorchevska and 74-year-old Panche Zhezhovski, can remain detained in Turkey for a maximum of one year, Turkish lawyers who deal with this issue told Telma TV.

The Turkish Ministry of Justice informed its Macedonian colleagues two days ago that the request for his extradition had arrived. After his arrest in the city of Balikesir, Palevski was ordered to be detained for 40 days. The request was sent through all three possible channels to the Turkish Ministry of Justice and Foreign Affairs, as well as through Interpol.
