The Macedonian Minister of Health Fatmir Mexhiti had a heated argument with the Minister of Finance Fatmir Besimi, due to the request to transform the contracts of the medical staff into permanent employment.
The issue with the health workers who have been working for years without a settled status must be resolved, said Minister Mexhiti.
“These people have been working for five or six years under a temporary contract, and some of them for even more years. That’s why I raised the issue at a Government session last Tuesday and we had a heated discussion with the Minister of Finance. We should strive to solve these issues and set them on the right path,” said the health minister.
