The Macedonian Minister of Health Fatmir Mexhiti announced that in 2024 there will be stricter measures on smoking. He said this at the Tetovo hospital where he attended the promotion of a breastfeeding room, asked whether additional measures will be taken due to the intensification of air pollution and the problems of people with respiratory diseases.
“Today we spoke at the regular Monday collegium with the services in the Ministry. There will be rigorous measures on smoking in the coming year 2024, and a protocol has been signed with the World Health Organization. Let the smokers think about what to do next,” Minister Mexhiti replied.
