VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski says he has not held a secret meeting with Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski, but he is available if invited for a public meeting on aligning about the caretaker government. According to him, Talat Xhaferi does not deserve VMRO-DPMNE’s support for a caretaker PM, and in the interest of the democratic process, the party would abstain from voting.
The opposition leader added that he does not see why such a meeting would be held far from the public eye and that people are fed up with such secret meetings.
“You know that I have been requesting for such a meeting for a long time. At first I was rejected, so political gymnastics were done on the political stage so that those meetings, those leaders’ meetings, to define the elections and so on. I don’t see why that would be far from the public eye and I appreciate that the public should be aware. I think that the people are fed up with such secret meetings, negotiations and agreements,” stressed Mickoski.
