The Council of Public Prosecutors was unanimous Wednesday in its positive opinion for candidate Ljupcho Kocevski to be elected new Chief Public Prosecutor.
Lidija Raichevikj did not get a positive opinion from the Council, whereas Fatime Fetai’s file was not discussed due to incomplete documents.
The term of Chief Prosecutor Ljubomir Joveski expired on December 25, whereas the Council of Public Prosecutors has elected Sonja Simovska as acting chief prosecutor.
The Chief Prosecutor is appointed by the Parliament, upon the Government’s proposal, to a six-year term and a right for reappointment.
