The Crisis Management Center (CMC) urges during the long holiday weekend not to burn stubble and crop residues in the fields. Do not burn plastic and rubber items, garbage and landfills in the open air, especially in this period when there is polluted air in Skopje and in other cities in the country.
“There are still open fires. Firefighters from Skopje, Gevgelija and Strumica intervened on at least three such fires in the last day and night. Burning low vegetation was extinguished, and in Skopje, a burning landfill was extinguished near the village Vardarishte in the Municipality of Gazi Baba,” the CMC informed.
