SDS indebted the country for additional 3.3 billion euros in seven years. Even last year, Kovachevski and Besimi exceeded the figure of 8 billion euros in total debt with their constant borrowing, said opposition VMRO-DPMNE in a press release on Monday.
“Although they borrowed several new billions, there are no new investments, the Kichevo-Ohrid highway has been unfinished for 7 years, the Skopje-Blace two kilometer stretch has been under construction for two terms. On top of several billions of new debt, 100 people are still raising money for treatment every year, there are no therapies for rare diseases, and often there are no funds for the application of therapy in hospitals. With several billions of new debt, they failed for 7 years to catch the idea that every September there should be textbooks for the students, and they should not have to wait for them until December. Several billion new debt, and the people are getting poorer. 600 thousand live in poverty, almost one in three citizens is poor,” the largest opposition party VMRO-DPMNE pointed out.
