Vanja’s father to remain in detention, decides Criminal Court

The father of the murdered Vanja Gjorchevska remains in detention. The Criminal Court rejected the request of the defense to replace his detention with house arrest.

“The judge of the preliminary procedure, following the proposal of the defense of A.Gj. suspected of the crime of Kidnapping from Art. 141 paragraph 2 in paragraph 1 of the CC, and related to the murder of the minor V.Gj. and P.Zh., from Veles, to replace the measure of detention with house arrest, after receiving an opinion from the competent Public Prosecutor, passed a decision rejecting the proposal of the defense,” informed the Criminal Court.

The defense team has the right to appeal the Criminal Court’s decision.
