It has never been worse in the economy – GDP growth per capita in 6 years is twice as low as the countries in the region. From 2017 to 2023, GDP per capita in Macedonia grew by only 20%, while in BiH it grew by 42%, and in Serbia, Albania and Montenegro by over 50%, VMRO-DPMNE pointed out on Saturday’s press release.

“Macedonia under SDS rule for 6 years lagged behind all the countries in the region, there is no development, no investments, there are only new debts. From 2017 to today, the public debt has increased by over 70%, while there is zero implementation of capital projects, and 600,000 people live on the edge of poverty,” said the main opposition party VMRO-DPMNE.
