Macedonian President Stevo Pendarovski signed into law the bill on the use of the Macedonian language, which Parliament had adopted on Friday. The Law on the Use of the Macedonian Language, according to the official press release, is aimed at raising the language culture and safeguarding the Macedonian language and its Cyrillic script.
President Pendarovski expects that the application of the law will contribute to overcoming the alarming situations regarding the improper use of the Macedonian language and its Cyrillic script.
