Five people are suspected of having committed abuses at the Oncology Clinic, said the head of the Skopje prosecutors, Gavril Bubevski. Among the suspects is the ex-director of the Clinic, Nino Vasev, who is being prosecuted for seven crimes, abuse of official position and authority, and fraud in the service.
“The order is for one person for seven criminal acts of abuse of official position and authority and one criminal act of fraud in the service, one person is suspected of fraud in the service, and for three people assisting in acts of fraud in the service. There is an investigative procedure for these actions, higher penalties are foreseen. And that’s why an order for an investigative procedure is being brought today,” said Prosecutor Bubevski.
