Industrial production in 2023 compared to 2022 records growth of 0.7%, whereas industrial production in December 2023 compared to the same month in 2022 dropped by 5.8%, said the State Statistical Office (SSO) on Wednesday.
In December 2023, compared to December 2022, industrial production recorded a decline by sectors of 3 percent in mining and quarrying, of 3.2 percent in manufacturing and of 23.2 percent in electricity supply, gas, steam and air conditioning.
According to the main industrial groups, production in December 2023, compared to December 2022, recorded a decline in Energy by 23.9 percent, Intermediate products other than energy by 9.9 percent, Consumer durables by 1.9 percent and Non-durable consumer goods by 7.4 percent, while capital goods grew by 22.6 percent.
