55 percent of Macedonians can’t afford annual vacation

More than half of Macedonians can’t afford an annual vacation away from home, according to the Landgeist web portal based on latest Eurostat data.

The majority of households in Macedonia (55.0%), Albania (58.3%), Turkey (60.8%), Romania (62.5%), Montenegro (67.2%) and Kosovo (69.5%) can’t afford an annual one week vacation away from home. In Greece, 48.8% of households can’t afford an annual vacation away from home, while in Bulgaria – 43.8%, in Serbia – 43.6%, in Croatia – 41.7% and in Slovenia – 16.7%.
