The European Union’s Ambassador to Skopje, David Geer, assessed the low implementation of the recommendations of the State Commission for the Prevention of Corruption (SCPC) as “very disappointing” when asked by the media on Wednesday. The Ambassador stressed that all recommendations of the SCPC and the State Audit Office are publicly available and the citizens expect them to be followed up.

“The work of the SCPC is of great importance because it showed concern and raised issues that affect both citizens and institutions. It is true that all those recommendations that come from the SCSC, which are not implemented, is worrying for all of us,” said Geer during the donation of ambulances to the Skopje Emergency Service, in response to a journalist’s question.

The EU ambassador underlined that over the years the percentage of the implementation of the SCPC recommendations has been declining.
