Health Insurance Fund strike put on hold, says union

The Trade Union of Administration, Judiciary and Citizens’ Associations said the strike at the Health Insurance Fund (HIF) is put on hold.

The decision, as the union informs, was made after today’s session of the HIF Management Board.

“After the request sent by the Trade Union of Administration, Judiciary and Citizens’ Associations of the Republic of Macedonia (UPOZ) to the caretaker Prime Minister Talat Xhaferi, reason prevailed in the Government and at yesterday’s session, it brought a new conclusion that annulled the previous recommendation that was sent to the Board of Directors and made a new recommendation, recommending that the point value remain the same. With the decision taken at today’s session of the HIF Management Board, the HIF union organization, a member of the UPOZ Union, made a decision putting the strike on hold,” reads the press release.
