Caretaker Minister of Labor and Social Policy Gjoko Velkovski said that inspection services will check the preschools whether children have not been vaccinated with the DPT vaccine and will intervene to prevent an epidemic of whooping cough.

“There are conclusions made by the Infectious Diseases Commission and they should be approved at a government meeting. And the law states that any child who has not received a certain vaccine will not be able to be part of the child protection system. We will inspect the preschools and our inspection services will see where we need to intervene to make it a practice and to prevent the spread of this epidemic, at least in Skopje as a hot spot at this moment,” said Velkovski.
