After Macedonian PresidentStevoPendarovski refused to sign the decree on the Law on games of chance and entertainment games, the idea of DUI and SDSM having a common candidate for president automatically failed. Ali Ahmeti’s party will now definitely go with its own candidate for the president of the country, and it will most likely be the Minister of Foreign Affairs BujarOsmani, daily newspaper SlobodenPechat reported, citing high party sources.
“DUI turned its back on its government partner SDSM for the presidential elections after the head of state StevoPendarovski refused to sign the decree on the Law on games of chance and entertainment games. With this, the idea of a consensual candidate for head of state fails,” the newspaper reported.
