Professor Denis Preshova from the Skopje Faculty of Law believes that the Government in Macedonia should change the law on travel documents, as it changed the law on traffic safety, in order to put an end to the agony of citizens by issuing new documents that it will have the new name of the country.

“I have a feeling that our authorities are not sufficiently afraid of the citizens. They fear foreigners more than citizens. And in this situation, they chose to protect those interests, in relation to the international obligations, rather than the rights of the citizens. If elections are announced tomorrow, from whom will the votes be sought? From the citizens or from the foreigners? We, as citizens, should also think in that direction and should not be as tolerant as we are,” said Law Professor Preshova.
