After the information that a police officer attacked a colleague in a well-known cafe in Skopje, the Macedonian Minister of Interior Panche Toshkovski condemned the incident on his official Facebook page.
“Regarding the incident that happened Saturday morning in front of a catering establishment on the territory of Skopje Interior Department involving police officers, I want to inform the public that I strongly condemn any type of violence, especially when it is committed by employees of the Ministry of Interior. The competent public prosecutor was immediately notified of the said event, who gave instructions that are currently being acted upon, and on the part of the competent services in the ministry, I requested to act as professionally as possible and in accordance with standard operating procedures, all in order to clear up this matter as soon as possible, and the outcome of the actions taken will be immediately reported back to the public,” said Toshkovski.
