Collection of signatures for presidential, MP nominations begins on Friday

The period for collection of signatures for presidential and MP candidates will start on Friday (February 23) and last until March 8, as per the schedule of the State Election Commission (SEC).

SEC has adopted a Rulebook on the signature collection procedure that will be published at its website on Tuesday.

“The collection of signatures will take place in all SEC departments and offices across 34 municipalities, and before notaries public. The offices will operate every day in two shifts, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. On the final day, March 8, the offices will be open until midnight,” said SEC member Boris Kondarko.
