Former Macedonian PM SDSM leader Dimitar Kovachevski said on Tuesday the Electoral Code amendments in line with the OSCE/ODIHR recommendations are ready and the party would support them once they are put to a vote in Parliament.
Regarding more substantial amendments to the Electoral Code, Kovachevski still thinks that it is too late to change the electoral legislation after the elections have already been scheduled.
“If they put the amendments to the Electoral Code to a vote, SDSM will vote on them today. As for essential changes, a discussion can be opened, but I believe, and I see that other political parties agree, that now it is too late to change the electoral legislation after elections have already been scheduled,” Kovachevski said.
