Professor and Member of Parliament GordanaSiljanovska-Davkova confirmed that she is VMRO-DPMNE’s presidential candidate in the upcoming elections. She stated that she will not be a republican monarch, but will treat citizens as people, as individuals, members of different communities. If she becomes president, Davkova pointed out, her candidates will be the best in the Constitutional Court and the Judicial Council, and the ambassadors will be recruited based on competence and expertise.
“Why am I running for president? For both objective and subjective reasons. The objective ones are the results of the past elections. It is a great recognition when you get about 380 thousand votes, not only from party members and sympathizers, but also from citizens. I intend to collect 10,000 signatures, because I think I should be equal with everyone else, and of course, to call again from those who are not in politics or are not ideologically and party determined,” added Siljanovska-Davkova.
