Strategically, Macedonia needs another large water reservoir. It is a project for the future, not only for Macedonia as a country, but also for the future of future generations who have not been born, believes the leader of opposition party VMRO-DPMNE, Hristijan Mickoski.
“VMRO-DPMNE in energy intends to seriously deal with a ten-year project, promised for decades, and that is the Chebren project. Strategically, Macedonia needs another large water reservoir. I am convinced that in the future some future generations will find it very important to provide water. Such times are coming, bearing in mind the climate changes, I am convinced that another such water reservoir will be very important to Macedonia as a country. And it is not a project that we should look at from today to tomorrow, or in 10 or 20 years, or even in 50 years, it is a project that we should look at maybe a century from today,” said Mickoski.
