The officials’ salaries will not decrease or remain the same, but will increase minimally. Despite preventing a whopping 15.3 percent increase, the legislative changes have given them some increase, Alsat TV reported on Sunday.
Some of the officials will get a minimum increase of MKD 500 from the February salary, others up to MKD 2,000. The difference is that the coefficients used to multiply the basis for calculating the salary are reduced by half a point.
Caretaker Parliament Speaker Jovan Mitreski will now get MKD 168,305, from a monthly net salary of MKD 166,207. President Stevo Pendarovski will receive an increase from MKD 164,817 to MKD 166,911. Caretaker Prime Minister Talat Xhaferi will be paid MKD 158,549 instead of 156,482. The Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Fatmir Bytyqi, will receive 129,031, instead of MKD 127,111, while Minister of Foreign Affairs Bujar Osmani will go from MKD 125,489 to D 127,208 per month.
