At a session on Tuesday, the Government reviewed and adopted the Information from the Ministry of Defense on the need to award a contract for the procurement of multi-purpose transport helicopters, by concluding a government-to-government agreement between the Government of the Republic of N. Macedonia and the Ministry of Defense of Italy.
As stated in the press release, Macedonian Minister of Defense, Slavjanka Petrovska, is authorized to sign the Agreement between the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Defense of Italy, for cooperation in the field of military helicopter aviation.
According to the need for the reform of the defense sector and its integration into NATO, determined in the Strategic Defense Review, as announced by the Ministry of Defense, the Long-Term Plan for the Modernization and Equipping of the Army of the Republic of N. Macedonia is being followed, in order to achieve full interoperability with the armies of NATO partner countries.
