Stevo Pendarovski’s position is like playdough, it changes under the slightest Bulgarian pressure. Pendarovski used to claim that the Bulgarian demands for changes to our Constitution are interference in our internal affairs. But later, he changed his position and agreed to the demands, says the main opposition party VMRO-DPMNE in a press release on Wednesday.
“The messages from Sofia to change the Constitution and start the talks, according to Pendarovski, were at one time a precedent of unprecedented proportions.
However, Pendarovski’s attitude has changed, unfortunately to the detriment of the Macedonian national and state interests. According to his personal assessments, Pendarovski allowed an unprecedented precedent and interference in the internal affairs of Macedonia. He was elected and is paid to protect the interests of Macedonia and the sovereignty and integrity of the state as his constitutional competences, but he forgot them,” reads VMRO-DPMNE press release.
