Croatia strongly supports friendly Macedonia. You know that we are one of the countries that most advocated for Macedonia’s European path. We believe that what happened in the last 20 or so years is unfair, that you were put on hold for bilateral reasons, not for reasons related to non-fulfillment of criteria, said the Prime Minister of Croatia Andrej Plenković in an interview with Macedonian Radio Television.
“I have advocated that path throughout my career, both professional and political, and I think that it has brought good to Croatia and the Croatian citizens, and that our model and our experience should be shared and that it should be used as best as possible in the examples of our close and friendly neighboring countries such as Macedonia. Among other things, this was the topic of conversation at the meeting with the leader of VMRO-DPMNE, Mr. Mickoski, whom we have known for many years. And it is important that he also confirmed the strong pro-European orientation of both him and the party in the context of the important European challenges facing the country,” Plenković said.
