Women in N. Macedonia get married at the youngest age compared to other countries in the region. The average age at which Macedonian women get married is 26.6 years, according to the analysis of the statistical portal Landgeist, based on Eurostat data.
Women in Montenegro get married at the average age of 27.5, in Bulgaria at 28.3, in Serbia at 28.5, in Croatia and Kosovo at 28.8, and in Greece at 30.9.
In most European countries, women get married for the first time at over 30 years of age. The difference between Western and Eastern Europe is noticeable, the further west you go, the higher the average age.
