Criminal and disciplinary charges against five police officers for the Tetovo hospital shooting

Two criminal charges have been filed by the Tetovo Police Department against M.T., a police officer at the Border Surveillance Police Station at the Regional Center for Border Affairs North, due to the existence of grounds for suspicion of violence in connection with the crime of murder under Article 123 of the Criminal Code and against other persons. The Department for Internal Control, Criminal Investigations and Professional Standards at the Ministry of Interior inspected the reports, after which it took measures against M.T. and other police officers in accordance with the legal powers, the Ministry of Interior informed on Wednesday.

On January 11, 2024 around 1 p.m. after previously disturbing public order and peace with a physical assault in front of the Tetovo Basic Court, carried out by R.T. upon A.M., came M.T. and threatened A.M. with a gun. The same day, around 6:30 p.m. in the area of ​​the Clinical Center M.T. he helped F.T. and R.T., who fired from firearms and injured A.M. and Z.M. from Tetovo.
