Consumer prices rose by 4 percent in March 2024, compared to March 2023, while retail prices increased by 3.8 percent, said the State Statistical Office in a press release on Monday.
Inflation measured through the cost of living index in March 2024, compared to the previous month, is 0.9%.
The increase in inflation in March 2024, compared to February 2024, is the result of the increase in the cost of living in the following groups: transport by 3.1%, food and soft drinks by 1.3%, miscellaneous goods and services by 0.6%, recreation and culture, restaurants and hotels by 0.5%, clothing and footwear by 0.2%, alcoholic beverages, tobacco and narcotics, housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels, health and communications by 0.1%.
