The Internal Police Affairs will investigate the actions of the police officers in relation to the arrest of journalist Furkan Saliu, Caretaker Minister of Interior Panche Toshkovski said on Monday in response to media questions. According to the minister, it is a criminal-legal event.
“Internal Affairs for these three months showed that it could have been done differently than before and every single action taken by the police officers, which is related to this criminal legal event, will be fully investigated,” Toshkovski said.
The minister called for this criminal legal event to be seen as it is, which is that it is a clash between two fan groups, a clash which, as such, if the police had not intervened there, could have been very serious.
