The number of tourists rose by 7.9% in February compared to the same month last year and the number of nights spent increased by 7.7%.
According to the data of the State Statistics Office (SSO), in February there were 44,224 tourists, of which 61 percent were foreign tourists, and 39 percent were domestic tourists. 89,362 overnight stays were registered, of which 55.3 percent were overnight stays by foreign tourists, and 44.7 percent by domestic tourists.
In the January-February period compared to the same period last year, the number of tourists increased by nine percent, and the number of overnight stays by 11.6 percent.
