The literary meeting was held in Moscow within the framework of the open project “Read Macedonia!”, which Olga Pankina, poet and translator, president of the non-governmental organization “Macedonian Cultural Center” in Moscow has successfully implemented since 2014, introducing the Russian readership to works from the classics of Macedonian literature, as well as from contemporary prose writers, poets and playwrights.
This time, Pankina said on Sunday, the main attention was paid to the novelistic works of Macedonian women writers, which are less known to readers. Olga Pankina, based on the examples from the books she has translated into Russian, introduced the attendees to the affirmation and development of women’s writing in Macedonia.
