Voting in the first round of the seventh presidential elections began at 7 a.m. on Wednesday. Voting is held at 3,480 polling stations in the country, where 1,814,317 citizens can exercise their right to vote by 7 p.m.
According to the SEC’s closed Voter’s List, 1,713,758 voters are registered to vote, 95,116 voters are on temporary work or residing abroad, and 2,147 are serving a prison sentence or are in custody. 2,569 voters have been registered in diplomatic consular missions or consular offices, as well as 191 members and deputy members of the electoral boards that will conduct voting in the DCP.
