VMRO-DPMNE presidential candidate GordanaSiljanovskaDavkova said on Tuesday that her party accepts the Negotiating Framework, but not the constitutional amendments.
In a TV debate with SDSM opponent StevoPenarovski on TV21, she pointed out that the constitutional amendments will not solve the problem, but rather deepen it.
“We accept the Negotiating Framework. We just don’t accept the element related to the constitutional amendments and we believe that with a different good-neighborly interpretation, that if the Copenhagen Criteria are in question, there can be a veto, let the commissions discuss, otherwise it cannot be used for a veto. We respect the European fundamental values and principles, and the Negotiating Framework, but we also respect ourselves,” said SiljanovskaDavkova.
