The Desna (Right) Party published a letter on Facebook that it claims was written by their party leader Ljupcho Palevski-Palcho, addressed to the current Minister of Justice Krenar Lloga. In the letter, Palevski claims that he wanted to be extradited from Turkey back in December, but that the minister did nothing to make it possible, and that the “calculations of the coalition partners for the elections” delayed the extradition.
“From the very first day of my arrest in Turkey, December 5, 2023, I requested from the Balikesir court to be immediately extradited to Macedonia, and since January 17, 2024, the Turkish authorities have been waiting for the Macedonian judicial authorities to start the procedure for my extradition,” reads the letter.
Ljupcho Palevski-Palcho is suspected of a double murder, of the 14-year-old girl Vanja Gjorchevska and the Veles resident Panche Zhezhovski.
