The statement made by the Minister of Defense Slavjanka Petrovska is extremely frivolous and even irresponsible, in which she claims that the defenders died in the ambush near Vejce because VMRO-DPMNE in 2001, as well as now, wanted war, said leader of Dostoinstvo (Dignity), Stojanche Angelov on Thursday.
The former major general of the special units of the Macedonian police recalls that the war was started in 2001 by the UCHK (NLA) “which in its communique number 4 clearly stated that their goal is the liberation of the centuries-old Albanian hearths from the Slav-Macedonian occupier”.
“Therefore, Minister Petrovska, not VMRO-DPMNE but Ali Ahmeti and UCHK started a long and carefully prepared war to secede part of the Macedonian territory. But we, the Macedonian defenders in 2001, did not allow them to do that. We did not allow even an inch of Macedonian land to be seceded,” said Angelov in a social media post.
