Inflation measured through the Consumer Price Index in April 2024, compared to March 2024, was 0.7%, according to the latest figures released by the State Statistical Office.
Compared to April last year, the Consumer Price Index has increased by four percent, and retail prices by 3.5 percent.
The increase in inflation is the result of an increase in the cost of living in transport by 2.8 percent, communications by 1.6 percent, food and soft drinks, clothing and footwear by 0.9 percent, recreation and culture, restaurants and hotels by 0, 6 percent, miscellaneous goods and services by 0.4 percent and health by 0.2 percent
