The Democratic Union (DS) assesses the presidential and parliamentary elections as fair and democratic. The revealed irregularities should be the subject of work of the competent institutions. The double victory with which GordanaSiljanovska-Davkova became the first female president of Macedonia and the won 58 MP seats of the “Your Macedonia” coalition led by VMRO-DPMNE, represents a huge honor and trust, but also a responsibility and a strong challenge for the promised radical reforms and strengthening of the foundations of Macedonia, as a democratic, sovereign and modern European state,” reads the DS press release.
“The DUI leadership, which decided to boycott the presidential elections, blemished the entire electoral process with attempts to disrupt it, especially during yesterday’s Election Day, with the ultimate goal of dragging Macedonia into political instability, if the boycott succeeded.
The message is clear, the citizens, regardless of their political, ethnic or religious affiliation, voted for changes, for a stable Macedonia,” added the Democratic Union.
