“Spanish Steps” trial postponed at defense’s request

The trial for the “Spanish Steps” case is postponed at the request of the defense attorney of the four defendants, who is prevented from attending the hearing. As informed by the Skopje Basic Criminal Court, in an agreement with the parties, new dates will be given for the continuation of the main hearing, which will be available through the trial calendar on the court’s website.

The former Minister of Transport and Communications, Mile Janakieski, Dimitar Dimovski, Biljana Dejanovska-Dimitrovska, Violeta Samardziska, Aneta Jordanova, Dejan Mitevski, Emilia Radojkova, Snezhana Krstevska, Risto Papazov, Lidija Smiljanovska and Marjan Jovanov are  in the “he accused Spanish Steps” case.

They are charged that with the illegal sale of the plots in front of the EVN building on the square in Skopje, they have damaged the country for 2.6 million euros.
