Tobacco farmers plant tobacco in the field in bulk. According to the State Agricultural Inspectorate, the year is good for tobacco production. Tobacco farmers concluded about 30,000 contracts for the production of 26,500 tons of tobacco. This year’s harvest is very similar to last year’s, but the conditions are better.
They refuse to deviate from their demands for changes in the Tobacco Law to be equal partners with the buyers, and not in a subordinate situation and the profitability of production suffers. More than 20,000 families live in Macedonia from tobacco production, and work all year round, and receive the money after the submitted placement.
