Macedonian Minister of Health IlirDemiri said on Monday that he dismissed the director of Cardiac Surgery, MarjanShokarovski, and from the position of the outgoing minister, he advised the next minister that the new director should be chosen from outside the Clinic.
“I received findings that the mortality rate at the Clinic has increased. I formed a Commission and I received the report on Friday. But today I received another piece of information, that for 170 patients no information was submitted in ‘My Appointment’ regarding discharge letters and deaths. I terminate the performance of the function of Dr. Shokarovski as the medical director of the Clinic (Cardiosurgery). Another reason is the extremely disturbed interpersonal relations,” said Health Minister Demir at the press conference.
Shokarovski was appointed director after the previous health minister FatmirMexhiti dismissed the long-time director of Cardiac Surgery, SashkoJovev.
