Another 7 former MPs will receive appanage after the end of their term, some will also receive severance pay upon retirement.
Former MPs Arben Ziberi, Vjolca Ademi and Bedri Fazli from DUI, Snezhana Kaleska – Vancheva and Ljatife Shikovska from SDSM, Enes Ibrahim from the Party for the Movement of Turks and Bastri Bajrami from the Besa Movement will be paid appanage, determined the Parliament’s Committee on Election and Appointment Issues.
The committee previously accepted the appanage request of another 29 former MPs. The legal deadline for submitting a request for appanage expires on June 28, that is, 30 days after the verification of the terms of the new MPs. Appanage is the legal right for MPs to be paid a salary for the next 12 months after the end of the MP term.
