Macedonian Parliament Speaker Afrim Gashi met Friday with Greek Deputy Foreign Minister Alexandra Papadopoulou and exchanged experiences on strengthening bilateral cooperation and dialogue in all fields, as well as the country’s EU accession process.

Speaker Gashi thanked Greece for its support to North Macedonia’s Euro-integation process following the NATO accession, resulting from the Prespa Agreement, the Parliament said in a press release.

Deputy FM Papadopoulou congratulated Speaker Gashi on his election to the post, saying North Macedonia has a sincere friend in Greece, a message coming from the country’s leadership, “that we are friends, neighbors, allies, partners in NATO, and one day partners in the EU”.
