A wind park consisted of 55 wind turbines producing 1 terawatt of electricity will be constructed in the area of Karbinci, Shtip and Radovish municipalities. Construction works are expected to begin in the second half of 2025, whereas the investment worth over USD 500 million is set to open 630 jobs.
The wind park, as indicated at Tuesday’s promotion of the investment, will produce electricity that will meet the needs of about 100 thousand households.
According to Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, this is the largest regional investment in the area of renewable energy sources (RES).
“Starting the term with this kind of investment shows that as a Government we are focused on projects that are in the interest of the citizens. With the completion of this project, even 100 thousand Macedonian families will be able to be supplied with electricity from these windmills. This project is significant from many aspects – it will significantly strengthen energy independence, which is our goal, increase the volume of investments and open the way for new investments. This type of investment shows that the trust in this Government is great from the very beginning and that as an opposition we worked and now as a Government we will only continue to work at an increased pace,” PM Mickoski said.
