After many years of abuses and party manipulations, at today’s session, the Government will review the amendments to the draft law on health care, which will abolish the co-called economic directors in public healthcare institutions, Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said in a Facebook post on Tuesday.
The PM stresses that with this measure they aim to improve the efficiency in the management of healthcare facilities, reduce administrative costs and direct funds to improve services.
“The new legal provisions stipulate that health centers with over 1,000 employees, university clinical centers, university clinics, clinical hospitals and institutes will be managed by only one director, who will be responsible for the organization and operation of the institution, as well as for the legality of the operation. In this way, responsibility will be located and dualism in decision-making will be abolished,” said PM Mickoski.
