The 2024 Budget revision was approved by the Parliament’s Finances and Budget Committee and must now secure support in a plenary session, which can last up to three days.
MPs submitted a total of 58 amendments for the revision, some of them were withdrawn, the others were rejected. Only two amendments were accepted – for the payment of administrators and for political advertising that were involved in the implementation of the annual elections, which were submitted by MPs Bojan Stojanoski and Dafina Stojanoska from the ranks of VMRO-DPMNE immediately before the end of the session.
With the Proposal for amending and supplementing the2024 Budget, total revenues are planned at MKD 318.2 billion, and expenditures at MKD 362.8 billion. GDP growth is projected at 2.1 percent, inflation at a level of 3.5 percent, and the budget deficit at 4.9 percent.
