The Macedonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade (MFAFT) announced that, as of Thursday, as part of the evacuation process, 505 Macedonian nationals have been registered at the Macedonian Embassy in Abu Dhabi, of whom 458 are staying in the United Arab Emirates. In addition, 31 people have been registered in Kuwait, and 14 people in Bahrain. As of Thursday, 141 Macedonian nationals have been registered in Doha, Qatar.
Macedonian nationals who have requested evacuation from Israel are expected to fly to Skopje on a government plane Thursday afternoon. This will completely complete the process of returning all citizens who have requested evacuation from Israel, says the MFAFT.
The evacuation of Macedonian nationals from the United Arab Emirates is expected to begin in the coming days, as well as citizens in Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait, for whom organized flights are planned to return via Saudi Arabia.
“The evacuation process is being carried out in accordance with an already developed plan, in accordance with security conditions and in coordination with the competent institutions,” the ministry said.
The Foreign Ministry yet again issued a call to all Macedonian national who have not yet contacted the competent diplomatic and consular missions and need assistance, to do so as soon as possible via the duty telephone numbers at the diplomatic and consular missions or via the SOS number of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
